What I did: I launched Urban Artisans: The ACE List as a self-initiated passion project to highlight underrepresented talent in Philadelphia’s creative scene. As the Creator and Creative Director, I led the visual identity, photography, and graphic design. Each featured ACE (Artist, Creator, Entrepreneur) received a unique profile experience: a custom-designed mini-magazine and a stylized video interview. My creative approach adapted to each person’s tone, craft, and message — allowing their individuality to shape the design and storytelling.
Why it mattered: UA:TAL was created out of a desire to honor local artistry that often goes unseen. The series helped shift attention to the minds and hands shaping Philadelphia’s cultural fabric, from underground visionaries to emerging voices. Through visual storytelling and design, I built a flexible platform that not only documented creative excellence but nurtured a space for connection and celebration. This project reflects my commitment to authenticity, cultural equity, and design that amplifies real people.
